Accessibility

Important information should be usable when someone is tired, grieving, older, disabled or using assistive technology.

Accessibility is part of the product, not a decorative statement.

Our target

We aim for WCAG 2.2 Level AA as the practical accessibility target for the public site and use the US Department of Justice web-accessibility guidance as an additional reference for the US audience.

What we build for

  • Keyboard navigation and visible focus indicators.
  • Semantic headings, labels and form instructions.
  • Text alternatives for meaningful images.
  • Color contrast that does not rely on color alone.
  • Responsive layouts and browser zoom without loss of core functionality.
  • Reduced-motion preferences.
  • HTML alternatives to important printable content wherever practical.

Print and PDF limitations

Print-to-PDF output can depend on the browser and PDF reader. The HTML page remains the primary accessible version of the information. If a printable output creates a barrier, contact us and we will work to provide the same information in a usable format.

Tell us about a barrier

If something is difficult to use with a keyboard, screen reader, zoom, voice control or another assistive technology, email accessibility@lifekindly.com. Please include the page and, if you are comfortable doing so, the browser or assistive technology involved.
