Pack for comfort, not a catalog
What do we actually need in a hospital bag for having a baby?
Hospitals differ in what they provide, so check your own hospital first. The useful goal is a small set of documents, comfort items, clothes for going home and anything your clinical team has specifically asked you to bring.
General health and practical information, not medical care. If you are worried about symptoms, recovery or a baby’s health, contact a qualified health professional. In the US, call 911 for an emergency and call/text 988 for suicide or mental-health crisis support. How we handle health-sensitive guidance.
